Aslan Is On The Move š¦
'Course he isnāt safe. But heās good.
Weāre not in control. Sometimes, we need to be reminded of that, or else we can set up little kingdoms unto our own selves and forget that weāre made to serve others.
Growing up Presbyterian, I had to learn the Westminster Catechism when I was about 10 years old, and now, at 52, I can still remember that the first question asked directly what is the meaning of life? The answer was that we were made to āglorify God and enjoy Him forever.ā
Each of us has a different way to do that, based on our gifts. The situations we are in, even the difficult ones, are a part of those gifts. A gift of teaching has no purpose unless there is someone who needs to be taught.
Enjoyment means that glorifying Him is deeply meaningful and brings joy. That doesnāt mean the tasks are easy. What easy accomplishment ever brought glory?
