🐺Spooky Printable: Little Red Riding Hood🧺
Enjoy this free classic tale with story, illustrations, and activities!
The Brothers Grimm! What an ominous sounding name for the German authors of so many classic spooky tales. Their stories came out over 200 years ago, but some of their stories, like Little Red Riding Hood, are even older.
The Brothers Grimm retold the story of Little Red Riding Hood from a French version written over a hundred years earlier. The German version from the Brothers Grimm is quite gruesome, but the older French version is even worse! In that version, the wolf eats everyone.
The version in this printable is more appropriate for modern kids. Nobody gets eaten in this version. If you’re using Jubilant-Reader.com, the very same version of this Little Red Riding Hood story is in our read-aloud library. This printable has different illustrations and additional activities to practice words from the story, but it’s a perfect companion for that read-aloud!

Next week, Be Brave! Just in time for Tricker-or-Treating, which can be a little scary for younger kids.
Book Recommendations 🤓
Picture Book: Curious George Goes to a Costume Party
🐵George was a good little monkey and always very curious! Except, “If it doesn’t have a tail, it’s not a monkey,” Bob the Cucumber Video Here.
Kid’s Chapter Book: The Witches by Roald Dahl
🧹Witches aren’t real, or are they? This is another fun adventure classic from Roald Dahl about a secret coven of witches plotting to turn children into mice!
For Grownups: The Stand by Stephen King
☣️I’m reading this now. I read far too much post-apocalyptic fiction (and TV, and movies). I also recommend Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.
